For the price I paid, I feel like I made a very good purchase for a very useful collection of items for putting down floating floors. The pull bar could be a bit better, although it does the job - the tapping block is excellent. The spacers that I got were just black, not colored as shown in the picture. I do recommend this product, but if you can get a decent pull bar and a tapping block at a lower price and do away with the spacers (just cut some leftover flooring for spacers), I would probably take that route. Oh by the way, this is made in Sweden, kind of a rarity in the States, and certainly beats being made in you-know-what country.

I decided to do my living room floors and needed a installation kit. After checking out Home Depot and Lowes I decided to purchase at Amazon. The quality was the same as the stores but about $10 cheaper. Great installation set for the price. I seemed to use the pull bar quite a bit but not the spacers. I felt I only used a few of those but the set comes with many different sizes. If you are going to do floating laminate this kit is a must buy. I also recommend getting a high quality underlayment. By the time my room was done the tapping block was a little busted up. It is made with plastic and the edges were getting a little bent. If you are doing a whole house you may want a better tapping block. You will want to make sure you have a hammer or some object to hit the pull bar softly to get your floor into place. Buy this kit if you are installing a floating floor. Money well spent. I would give it a full 5 stars but the spacers are a little too small to do the job well and take time to position perfectly. But they do help.

I'll also add that the tapping block should work on any engineered or laminate floor.

I've used the tapping block to install about 2200 sq. ft. of flooring and it is starting to show some wear, but keeps on working.

The pull bar works too. You have to use a little common sense to prevent chipping the flooring, but its great for the tight spaces.

If you're looking to do a floating floor, this kit is a must have. Other tools help are: Shark Grip Pry Bar, Hammer, Large Stanley Pry Bar, Safety Googles, Gloves, and Dremel Oscillating Cuter (OR Harbor Freight equivalent)to cut door frames, table saw, miter saw.
